Countdown to Halloween 2010! Random Reads: "Bride of the Walking Dead" by Glut and Santos

Okay, now, Groove-ophiles, some things just don't need much explanation. Today's post is one of those things. We're talking Don Glut, Jesse Santos, Dr. Spektor, and ZOMBIES, baby! Toss in a far-out title like "Bride of the Walking Dead" and you've got creepy comicbook bliss! It's Gold Key's Occult Files of Dr. Spektor #17 (July 1975), and it's all here for you!

HowOOOOOOOOO's that grab ya?

  1. Great post! Santos is one of those artists that really gets better every time you see him. His stuff always looks so infused with the pure joy of drawing. I don't have this one! Thanks a ton.

  2. Very cool! Dark Horse just released an anthology of Doctor Spektor comics (one of two I believe).

    Nice to get a preview!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
