Groove's Faves: "The Legend of the Green Arrow!" by O'Neil, Grell, and Smith

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Let's kick off this week with Denny O'Neil and Mike Grell's (aided and abetted by inker Bob Smith) third Green Lantern/Green Arrow outing from Green Lantern #92 (October 1976). 'Tis a cool twist upon the legend of Robin Hood, "The Legend of the Green Arrow!"

  1. I really miss these 70's GL/GA books.

  2. I really enjoyed these, too. I liked Mike Grell's art and even stuck with it after he left (and Green Arrow, too). I was glad that GL went back to the space opera scene, too.

  3. Wow what a blast from the past Groove! I remember reading this yarn many moons ago. What's not to love? Sinestro as a jester! GA's boxing glove arrow! The mysterious Silver Twist! And GA was the figure behind the legend of Robin Hood? Right on!
