Decent Comics: "No Coffin for a Killer!" by Kanigher and Kane

Howdy, Groove-ophiles! We're back with another Robert Kanigher/Gil Kane Outlaw extravaganza! This is one action-packed western tale, baby, and Gil Kane is at the top of his game! That waterfall sequence...wow!! If you love great comicbook art and a rousing western, you're gonna dig "No Coffin for a Killer!" from All-Star Western #4 (December 1970)!

  1. OMG that was wonderful. One forgets how good he can be even in a cowboy comic. I saw him way back in early 70's at a comic con where he drew as he chatted with the audience (which was maybe 25 only, as comic cons were small then). He drew John Carter with almost no sketching, just line after perfect line.

  2. Thanks for sharing. I knew that Mr. Kane enjoyed doing the covers for the Westerns because he often got to ink himself, but I hadn't been aware that he had done any of the interiors.
