The Grooviest Covers of All Time: Captain America's Not So Civil Altercations with Avengers

Hey, hey, hey, Groov-ophiles! Today's the big day when we here in the U.S. finally get to enjoy Captain America: Civil War! To celebrate the occasion, Ol' Groove has dug up some cavorting covers in which our favorite First Avenger is on the giving and/or receiving end of a super-smackdown from some (or sometimes many) of his avenging buddies! And oh, yeah, these covers come from some of the most talented hands Marvel ever had! Steranko! Kirby! Romita! The Brothers Buscema! Barry (Windsor-) Smith! George Perez! And more! Hoo-hah!

  1. Great mind thinking alike and all that. I pushed out a post yesterday with pretty much the same premise and the same covers. You have a few I forgot. Love those old covers!

Rip Off (not at all :))

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
