Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Here's a cool "kinda-filler" ish of Master of Kung Fu (#70, August 1978) written by regular series author Doug Moench and penciled by (for the first and only time) Pat Broderick (with inks by John Tartaglione). Ol' Groove digs "Home to Die" 'cause it spotlights his second fave MOKF (after Shang Chi, natch) character, Black Jack Tarr. Dig it!
(thanx to max_renn for the suh-weet scans!)

ReplyDeleteYou need the rating of totally AWESOME! I was a huge fan of both this series & Pat Broderick! Thanks for bringing back even more great childhood/teen memories for me! Pat should had drawn many more books! Including Spider-Man!
This one is going way back into my early years and could possibly be my first collaboration with Doug.. Learned so much over the years....
ReplyDeleteTell us more, Pat! You are loved here in Groove City and we're certainly honored you stopped by today!
ReplyDeleteHi Pat
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to stop by! I loved your What If #19 with Spider-Man! Your tribute to Steve Ditko was well Amazing!
It's in the same style as the amazing art Pat did on Captain Marvel - e.g. Deathgrip & Trouble on Titan.
ReplyDeleteI have this very issue in my room right now!
