Black and White Wednesday: "Bounty for a Vampire!" by Isabella and DeZuniga

Welcome to my parlor, Groove-ophiles! Two Tonys, Isabella and DeZuniga, had a major inspiration for Dracula Lives! #13 (May 1975)--cowboys and vampires! Prepare for one of the most unique Dracula tales you ever read..."Bounty for a Vampire!"

  1. Wow wow WOW! One of my greatest faves of ALL times! Thanks.

  2. Should have been Jonah Hex! LOL

    Very cool!

  3. Where do you find these gems Groove? Bring us more! As if I was not a big fan of Tony DeZuniga already! Can't beat a tale of cowboys vs Dracula! Hmm I think DeZuniga was channeling Charles Bronson as the marshal!

    - Mike from Trinidad & Tobago.

  4. Tony DeZuniga was an amazing talent! He and Alfredo Alcala were the 2 best arrivals from the Phillipines in the 70s. He could do it all: pencil, ink and full art. And he worked in so many genres: superhero, western, mystery, romance, sword and sorcery. I met him at the Emerald City Comicon in 2010. He was a super nice guy, signing 15 of my books and talking to me for quite awhile. How sad that he was gone 2 years later (along with Ernie Chan).
