Black and White Wednesday: Red Sonja, She-Devil With A Sword

Roy Thomas. Howard Chaykin. Red Sonja. From Kull and the Barbarians #2 (May 1975). Enjoy!

  1. and enjoy I most certainly did! one of my fave Howie Chykin "joints", this. VERY good call there, Groove.

  2. I think that this story (or maybe it was the Red Sonja story in Kull and the Barbarians #3 - I am at work, so forgive me)was actually re-done in a later issue of Savage Sword of Conan (#78? #83?), with art by Dick Giordano, with the same layouts as Chaykin. In fact, the panels, poses, etc...are all the same as Chaykin's, except Dick Giordano drawings! Really weird...
