Something about this story, especially the faces at the bottom page 1, panel 3 evoke the feeling of a MAD magazine parody (like those drawn by Mort Drucker).

This story was adapted from the show, but they really did a serious abridgment of it. My favorite part of the story is completely missing here--where they figure out that the flight path is taking them past area two on the way to area one.
