Addicted to Alex Nino: "The Conquerors" by Oleck and Nino and "Evil Eye" by Drake and Nino

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Here's a double-dose of amazing Alex Nino artistry from Weird War Tales #16 (May 1973). First up we have "The Conquerors" by DC mystery-mag-mainstay Jack Oleck...

...followed by Arnold (Deadman) Drake's "Evil Eye"...

Two Nino  masterpieces (plus an Alfredo Alcala short I'll share later!) for a measly twenty cents! No wonder it was a Groovy Age, baby!

  1. Once again, I've never seen The Conquerors in colour. It's black and white in the comic I have. Great to see!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
