Black and White Wednesday: "Malaguena Beyond a Zone Forbidden!" by Moench and Ploog

You're really ape for Planet of the Apes, aren't ya, Groove-ophiles! Well, Ol' Groove's got what you want right here--"Malaguena Beyond a Zone Forbidden!" by Doug Moench and Mike Ploog! This one's from Planet of the Apes #6 (January 1975), so stop monkeyin' around and dig in!!

  1. Many, many thanks! Once again -- this was simply Marvel's finest black-and-white continuing story. Wow. Please, please run the next chapter, which has the knock-down, drag-out fight between Brutus and Gunpowder Julius. Not only is it action-packed, but it is wickedly funny, too boot!

  2. I was totally ape about the terror on the planet of the ape stories when I was a kid. I didn't even know it exsisted until issue 5 or 6 when my dad brough it home after work for me one night. I was excited at each issue of the magazine on the stands, I couldn't always afford it , my allowance was about 50 cents a week back then so. I'd miss an issue now and again but i eventually got all the issues in the years that followed.
