Thursday Team-up: "The Evil Wand"

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! Here's a different kinda team-up--Harvey's Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost and Wendy the Good Little Witch in "The Evil Wand" from Spooky #150 (February 1976). Dunno who the writer or artist is, but more than likely it's Warren Kremer. Any Harvey Comics experts out there?

This one's for you, Charlie Horse 47!

  1. Most venerable Groove, thanks much for this! Going to read it at lunch! Can't wait! Til Hot Stuff slugs it out with the Torch, Make Mine DOTHK!

  2. Nice early nod to Halloween, I'm just curious Groove, any chance of some Tomb Of Dracula up your sleeve for All Hallow's Eve?

  3. THANKS! Keep the kids comics coming, please! Such a great change from the usual (and boring) superhero stuff!

  4. My Marvel zombieness and snobbery towards Harvey caused me to to miss out on a lot good comics from the 60s and 70s. I've been attempting to make up for that by buying old Harveys whenever I see them, but they are expensive and hard to find.

  5. It's the old Casper conundrum: technically, wasn't Spooky always a human? Just one that had been missing his flesh-and-blood body for a while?

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
