Ol' Groove's Request Line: Star Wars with Pizzazz by Thomas, Chaykin, and DeZuniga

Hey, hey, hey, Groove-ophiles! By popular demand, here are the first two chapters of Roy Thomas, Howard Chaykin, and Tony DeZuniga's Star Wars strip from the first two issues of Marvel's tween/teen mag Pizzazz (Fall 1977). Ol' Groove is nothing if not accommodating!

The Force was strong in Pizzazz, as Star Wars ran in all sixteen issues, with Archie Goodwin taking over as writer and a plethora of artists taking turns on the strip beginning with Pizzazz #8. Wanna see more? Ya know what to do, Groove-ophiles!

  2. Thanks for this; always nice to see some obscure Chaykin work, even if here it looks like DeZuniga's style is a pit overpowering. And yes, of course, I'd like to see more...
