Black and White Wednesday: "The Hyborian Age Chapter 2: The Rise of the Hyborians" by Thomas and Simonson

Are we on a roll this week, or what, Groove-ophiles? Englehart, Starlin, Oleck, Nino, and now--Roy Thomas and Walt Simonson! Yeah, Groove City is rockin' with the farthest out of the far-out, baby! Today we're truckin' back to the "Rise of the Hyborians" and the road that leads to Conan. We first visited Thomas and Simonson's adaptation of Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age way back here, and here at last is part two from Savage Sword of Conan #8 (August 1974)!

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
