Grooviest Covers of All Time: Seldom-Seen Sal Buscema

How about some non-Captain America/Sub-Mariner/Avengers/Hulk/Defenders 1970s grooviness? I thought you might dig it!

  1. I never realized before what a huge presence Sal Buscema was in my childhood -- I remember every one of these!

  2. I loved the Sal Buscema covers that showed up on so many of the Marvel annuals and other reprints in the early 1970s. The Avengers Annual 4 cover in particular just fires up my imagination.

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
