As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!

I really enjoyed that Groove, thanks for posting. With all the brilliance of Kirby's silver and bronze age work, it's easy to forget what an accomplished story telling team he and Simon were, right back in the golden age.
ReplyDeleteExcellent. Love your blog Groove, love it.
ReplyDeletei love these Simon and kirby classics are great! I have been waiting for more to be posted for ages and here 1 is. Please post more!
ReplyDeleteGolden Age Kirby couldn't compete with Silver Age Kirby IMHO. But there is still a grace and beauty in the artwork that, combined with Joe Simon's slick storylines, makes for pleasant reading.
