Sunday Funnies: Stan Lee's Monster Madness

In 1972/73, Marvel published three issues of Monster Madness by "Sinister" Stan Lee. Ol' Groove thought you might get a few giggles from Stan's corny one-liners coming out of the mouths of classic movie monsters...

  1. I was buying "Famous Monsters of Filmland" during these childhood years, but never did get around to "Monster Madness."

These one-liner puns over classic horror stills are a LOT like the "Creature Feature" bubble gum cards being put out by Topps at roughly the same time! Remember those?

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
