Black and White Wednesday: "The Reaper" by Archie Goodwin and Alex Toth

From Creepy #114 (cover dated January 1980), here are two masters, Archie Goodwin and Alex Toth, at the top of their game. What more can Ol' Groove say but... "Read it!"

  1. WOW! i have an issue of creepy, or eerie, (not sure which) that reprints a bunch of toth's warren stories, but this one isn't in it. HOLY CRAP that is awesome drawing. toth at the top of his game. thanks for posting.

  2. I've always had a hard time with Toth's storytelling style, but it is very effective in this type of tale. Somewhat poignant, too....given that Archie Goodwin himself passed away 18 years later of cancer....
